CPE was chosen in 2012 to serve as electricity sub contractor for the Prince Muhammed Bin Abdualziz international airport – Saudi Medina , about 800KM West of Riyadh , the capital.
Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport or Medina Airport MED is a regional airport in Medina, Saudi Arabia. Opened in 1971, it handles domestic flights, while it has scheduled international services to regional destinations such as Cairo, Doha, Dubai, Istanbul and Kuwait City. Medina Airport also handles charter international flights during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. The Pilgrims for Hajj and Umrah can enter Saudi Arabia through this airport or through Jeddah Airportonly. It is the fourth busiest airport in Saudi Arabia, handling 5,831,163 passengers in 2015, including 802,592 Hajj charter and 2,145,272 Umrah charter passengers.[1]
